| Dwight
Clark,
49ers Pro-Bowl Wide Receiver and native of Kinston,
North Carolina, played his college football at
Clemson University before being drafted by the
San Francisco in the 10th round of the 1979 Draft.
Clark went on to have a stellar career with the
Niners, finishing with 506 catches for 6750 yards
and 48 touchdowns. Clark's most memorable touchdown
came in the 1982 NFC Playoffs. On January 11,
1982, against the Dallas Cowboys, the San Francisco
49ers were trailing 27-21 in the final minute
of play to advance to the Super Bowl. Clark made
a leaping catch of a desperation pass from quarterback
Joe Montana in the back of the end zone to give
the 49ers a 28-27 victory. That play, one of the
most famous in 49ers and NFL history, is today
simply known as The Catch. Dwight was a member
of two Super Bowl winning clubs and has had his
famous number 87 retired by the 49ers. |

Signing
and bartending for the entire 49ers Monday Night
Football game, it is obvious Dwight is VERY popular
with the Faithful. And why not? He's a Niners
Legend, part of one of the most famous 49ers plays
of all time. And, perhaps more importantly, he
is REALLY nice, chatting it up with the many folks
in attendance and posing for pictures with everyone.
And pouring a mean beer behind the bar! |
