Sports Gallery Authenticated (SGA) was founded in December of 1999 in Palo Alto, California. The primary focus of our business today is the retail of high Quality Sports Memorabilia, both at our stores and online, Custom Framing and Display Solutions, and our unique Fundraising Event Services program.

Kristie with Warriors Captain Stephen Jackson

Kristie Carlquist is a Silicon Valley Native and Graduate of San Jose State University. Kristie has always been a fan of Bay Area teams and with her "We Believe" attitude her heart is always with the Golden State Warriors. Being a fan of the 80’s and having a passion for basketball a couple of her favorite SGA pieces are the dual-signed Larry Bird & Magic Johnson (Retirement Night) and Michael Jordan’s UNC’s “The Last Shot.

Kristie loves her family, friends, music, movies, and her Sports Gallery Team. Kristie believes in a strong work ethic and at the same time putting as many smiles on peoples faces as possible :)

Kristie’s key roles at Sports Gallery are managing national accounts & coordinating auctions, booths and special events.

Leslie Conover was born and raised in Los Gatos, CA. Her parents had a passion for antiques, while she had a passion for nothing other than sports, particularly the San Francisco 49ers and Giants (and, obviously, now the A's!). At the age of 3, Leslie found her first true love, Joe Montana. This was followed by her second true love, Will Clark, according to Leslie the BEST Giants 1st Baseman, EVER. Her two main wishes in life are to live to see the Giants finally win the World Series and to see Will Clark entered into the Hall of Fame.

Leslie believes in hard work, determination, and integrity at the highest level. She does not believe in questionable ethics, dishonesty, or the Los Angeles Dodgers. Leslie is also the founder of GBGH Industries with it's very cool line of "Go Big or Go Home" sportswear. In fact, Leslie is sporting her latest creation in the photograph above. Leslie's primary responsibilities are EVP Sales, Director of Business Development, and Head of Purchasing for Sports Gallery. A big focus for Leslie is, working with Kristie in initiating, developing and overseeing relationships with schools, non-profits, and other organizations through fundraising events, auctions, and related services and corporate sponsorships. She is also in charge of our overall sales strategies and efforts.

Derrick Dickson, a graduate of Cal State Monterey Bay, dreams of someday owning his own sports bar full of Sports Gallery collectibles. Derrick played soccer, baseball, and basketball growing up, including three years of basketball at CSUMB. A sports junkie, Derrick says that he'll follow anything with a ball and is a die hard North Carolina basketball and Nebraska football fan. Derrick's favorite pieces at Sports Gallery is the signed Michael Jordan Wings poster as well as the signed Michael Jordan UNC Jersey.


Derrick's primary responsibilities include Managing Sales and Customer & Community Relations in our Los Gatos, California Location.

Jason Gruwell was born and raised in Denver, CO and a sports fanatic from birth. A fan of all sports but basketball is Jason's first love. Jason played every sport imaginable growing up, and was glued to to the television for all the big games. Jason's fondest memory was in the 1993-94 playoffs when the Denver Nuggets beat the Seattle SuperSonics. The first time in NBA history that a # 8 seed beat a # 1 seed, Dikembe Mutombo fell on the ground and hugged the ball in celebration. Jason enjoys playing golf and basketball in his spare time, and is excited to finally be able to play golf year round now that he's relocated to beautiful Northern California. His teams of choice include the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies, San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos. Jason's favorite Sports Gallery pieces include SGA's Exclusive Caddyshack Flag Displays and our new Stephen Curry collectibles.

Jason's primary responsibilities include Director of Sports Gallery Mobile Galleries (including our newest location at AT&T Park!) and overall Inventory Management.

Mark Kelley is a Duke (Go 'Devils!) and Indiana (Go Hoosiers!) graduate. He spent 13 years working in Human Resources for Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies before joining the Sports Gallery team. Mark has two boys, Cameron and Carson, and used to spend most of his free time coaching youth sports. Now he is the parent in the stands and watching his boys play (Go Jr Sharks! and MA Bears Tennis!). Other interests include skiing & snowboarding, tennis, movies & music, and, of course, the daily Sports page.


Mark's primary responsibilities are managing Sports Gallery's overall operations and strategies as well as it's finances, HR, IT and web site/strategies.

Matthew Kelley is a lifelong sports enthusiast. After obtaining a Stanford undergraduate degree ('89) and an MBA from Washington State University, Matthew spent several years working in high tech in Silicon Valley. He eventually decided to pursue his real passion, a business career related to sports, by entering the Sports Memorabilia industry. Matthew subsequently founded Sports Gallery in 1999.



Matthew is the Founder of Sports Gallery. While no longer active in the day to day management of the company, he continues to be a major stockholder in SGA.

Natasha Lutz comes to SGA from a country home (farm) in Indiana. Her work experience is varied as she worked for MBP Catering Service as an Event Supervisor & Planner and Joseph A. Banks as a Personal Buyer/Sales Associate. As a child, she combined her passion for style & clothes with her love of sports! Known for her natural talent in soccer & softball, Natasha was also a Coach's Assistant and Scout in football. Snowboarding is a passion and watching Sports Center and reading autobiographies & self improvement occupies her at home. Clothes are art pieces to Natasha and cooking, playing cards, concerts, and sporting events fill her entertainment calendar. One of Natasha's favorite pieces in our Galleries is the Dwight Clark football with full "Play" inscription!

Natasha's primary responsibilities include Managing the day to day operations of our Palo Alto Gallery Sales as well as Customer & Community Relations and Outreach on the SF Peninsula.

Don May is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and grew up rooting for the SF Giants, SF 49ers and (then) SF Warriors. Don has a B.S. and M.S. degree from the University of Arizona in Sports Medicine and an extensive background in fine art auction and gallery sales. Don has also conducted 100's of charity auctions raising millions of dollars around the country. Don's favorite Sports Gallery piece is a classic - Willie May's "The Catch."

Don's
primary responsibilities include Managing Sales and Customer & Community Relations our of our Walnut Creek, California Location stretching down the Coast to the Monterey Peninsula.

   
   
   
Gene Murphy

Gene Murphy, is a 3rd generation San Franciscan and attended the SF Art Institute and the Art Academy. He received his BA in Contemporary Art History in 1975. After devoting a few years on the "starving artist" circuit, he opened an art gallery, which he operated successfully for 15 years. As a service to his customers, he established a picture framing service and has been in the picture framing business now for over 25 years. When Gene isn't busy creating new and interesting design concepts for Sports Gallery, he can be found acting like a kid at a Giants' game, talking about music with his 22 year-old musician son, playing tennis, scuba-diving or running.

Gene oversees and manages all aspects of Sports Gallery's Custom Framing Operations and Warehouse in Mountain View, CA.
