Kristie with Sharks Star Logan Couture

Kristie Carlquist is a Silicon Valley Native and Graduate of San Jose State University. Kristie has always been a fan of Bay Area teams and with her "We Believe" attitude her heart is always with the Golden State Warriors. Being a fan of the 80’s and having a passion for basketball a couple of her favorite SGA pieces are the dual-signed Larry Bird & Magic Johnson (Retirement Night) and Michael Jordan’s UNC’s “The Last Shot.”

Kristie loves her family, friends, music, movies, and her Sports Gallery Team. Kristie believes in a strong work ethic and at the same time putting as many smiles on peoples faces as possible :)

Kristie is SGA's VP of Fundraising, Event & Relationship Management working mostly out of our Palo Alto Gallery offices.

Derrick with San Jose Shark Ryane Clowe

Derrick Dickson, a graduate of Cal State Monterey Bay, dreams of someday owning his own sports bar full of Sports Gallery collectibles. Derrick played soccer, baseball, and basketball growing up, including three years of basketball at CSUMB. A sports junkie, Derrick says that he'll follow anything with a ball and is a die hard North Carolina basketball and Nebraska football fan. Derrick's favorite pieces at Sports Gallery is the signed Michael Jordan Wings poster as well as the signed Michael Jordan UNC Jersey.

Derrick is SGA's VP of Production and Logistics working out of our Mountain View Framing Facility.

Jason with Oakland Raider Jacoby Ford

Jason Gruwell was born and raised in Denver, CO and a sports fanatic from birth. A fan of all sports but basketball is Jason's first love. Jason played every sport imaginable growing up, and was glued to to the television for all the big games. Jason's fondest memory was in the 1993-94 playoffs when the Denver Nuggets beat the Seattle SuperSonics. The first time in NBA history that a # 8 seed beat a # 1 seed, Dikembe Mutombo fell on the ground and hugged the ball in celebration. Jason enjoys playing golf and basketball in his spare time, and is excited to finally be able to play golf year round now that he's relocated to beautiful Northern California. His teams of choice include the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies, San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos. Jason's favorite Sports Gallery pieces include SGA's Exclusive Caddyshack Flag Displays and our new Stephen Curry collectibles.

Jason is Sports Gallery's VP of Sales and Sales Operations working mostly out of our Palo Alto Gallery.

Matthew with Willie Mays

Matthew Kelley is a lifelong sports enthusiast. After obtaining a Stanford undergraduate degree ('89) and an MBA from Washington State University, Matthew spent several years working in high tech in Silicon Valley. He eventually decided to pursue his real passion, a business career related to sports, by entering the Sports Memorabilia industry. Matthew subsequently founded Sports Gallery in 1999.

Matthew is the Founder of Sports Gallery. While no longer active in the day to day management of the company, he continues to be a major stockholder in SGA.

Don with SGA Golf Collectibles

Don May is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and grew up rooting for the SF Giants, SF 49ers and (then) SF Warriors. Don has a B.S. and M.S. degree from the University of Arizona in Sports Medicine and an extensive background in fine art auction and gallery sales. Don has also conducted 100's of charity auctions raising millions of dollars around the country. Don's favorite Sports Gallery piece is a classic - Willie May's "The Catch."

Don's primary responsibilities include Managing Sales and Customer & Community Relations out of our San Ramon, California Location stretching down the Coast to the Monterey Peninsula.

Gene at the SGA Framing Facility

Gene Murphy, is a 3rd generation San Franciscan and attended the SF Art Institute and the Art Academy. He received his BA in Contemporary Art History in 1975. After devoting a few years on the "starving artist" circuit, he opened an art gallery, which he operated successfully for 15 years. As a service to his customers, he established a picture framing service and has been in the picture framing business now for over 25 years. When Gene isn't busy creating new and interesting design concepts for Sports Gallery, he can be found acting like a kid at a Giants' game, talking about music with his musician son, playing tennis, scuba-diving or running.

Gene is Sports Gallery's Master Framer, managing Sports Gallery's framing production and relations.

Claire with Former A's Star Ryan Sweeney

Claire Simpson is a Hawaiian born, East Bay raised Cal Berkeley grad who had a history of always befriending the boys in her neighborhood because the girls just couldn't simply keep up with her ways. She enjoyed Star Wars, Transformers, baseball, surfing, building tree houses and beating up the boys with rolls of newspapers that tried to bully her best guy friends. Her love for sports obviously came naturally after she traded in her Cinderella ball gown for a pair of cleats.

Claire's favorites include Oakland A's, San Jose Sharks, Kevin Garnett, Amare Stoudemire, Tim Lincecum & of course Cal Bears Football. She believes "Sports Knowledge Is Beautiful", therefore you won't catch her without her ESPN updates on her iphone or shopping during NBA playoffs.

With a ten year hospitality & sales background, Claire combines her 2 biggest passions at SGA by combing her love for sports and assisting event planners with their fundraisers/auctions. In her spare time, Claire enjoys spending time with her husband & daughters.

Claire is Sports Gallery's VP of Gallery Sales, Operations and Marketing working out of our San Ramon, CA location.

Erik with 2012 Giants Team-Signed Jersey

Erik Wardenburg was born and raised in Palo Alto, and has been involved in sports his entire life. He attended Palo Alto High School and majored in Economics at UC Davis while playing soccer and rooting for all of the Bay Area teams, especially the 49ers and Giants. Along with being passionate about sports Erik is also a fantasy sports junkie, competing in all kinds of leagues with friends and strangers since he was 16. He's always loved collecting sports memorabilia, and his favorite Sports Gallery pieces are the SF Giants 2012 Team-Signed Jersey and anything signed by Jerry Rice or Joe Montana."

Erik is a Sports Gallery Sales Associate working out of both our Palo Alto Gallery and Mountain View Framing Warehouse.
