Barry
Bonds & Hank Aaron
700 Home Run Club Shadowbox
|
| $1,295 |
Only
three men have hit 700 or more home runs in the history of baseball
- Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth & Barry Bonds. Only two are still living
- Aaron and Bonds. And only one, Barry Bonds, is still playing with
a shot of surpassing Aaron's 755 Career Home Runs. He passed the
Babe in 2006 when he hit #715 on May 28. All of which means that
these two men are likely to stay #1 and #2 in career home runs for
a long...long time. This Sports
Gallery Exclusive commemorates the two greatest home
run hitters in baseball history. This 700 Home Run Club Shadowbox
includes two hand-signed Major League Baseballs, two photographs
(Bonds 700th and Hank's 715th Home Runs), and a plaque commemorating
each slugger's 700th Home Run Club status. All displayed in the
finest baseball display case on the market today. Mahogany doors,
green suede matting, UV-protective conservation glass for sunlight/fading
protection, and safety locks (with keys), this 24" wide, 21"
tall and 4" in depth display case is part of a collection that
are currently used to display items at the Baseball Hall of Fame

Yogi
Berra
Farewell Yankee Stadium |
| $429 |
No
player to date can match Yogi Berra's resume when it comes to playing
on 14 pennant-winners and 10 World Championship teams. The heart
of the Yankees for 18 seasons, Berra topped the 100-RBI mark four
years in a row and became a three-time AL MVP. In every season from
1948 to 1962, Berra was selected to the All-Star team. During his
career he called three no-hitters, including Don Larsen's perfect
game in the 1956 World Series. Elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame
in 1972, Yogi even had his famous "8" retired by the Yankees
Organization. Also retired by the Yankees was Historic Yankee Stadium,
which hosted it's final baseball game on September 21, 2008. The
game, and moment in history, will only grow with time, like Lou
Gehrigs farewell, Don Larsens masterpiece and Reggie
Jacksons third home run in a World Series game. The Stadium
went out the way it opened, with a victory, 7-3 over the Baltimore
Orioles. The Yankees opened the gates seven hours before game time,
allowing fans to stroll the warning track for one last walk in the
park. There was a sense of sadness and loss amid the celebration.
Yogi, born two years after the Stadium opened, seemed to feel he
was losing a part of himself. It
will always be in my heart, it will, he said, adding
later, Im sorry to see it
over, I tell you that. This Sports
Gallery Exclusive celebrates these two Yankee Legends
with an autographed Yogi Berra Baseball, awe-inspiring photograph
from that last night in Yankee Stadium, and commemorative plate
that includes Yogi's most famous line: "It
ain't over 'till it's over." Nobody does Sports Framing,
and especially shadowbox framing, like Sports Gallery. A great piece
of Sports Art celebrating two
great Yankee Legends.

Barry
Bonds
73rd HR Shadowbox
|
| $749 |
In
2001, Bonds broke two of Babe Ruth's long-standing records - most
walks and highest slugging percentage in a season. But those weren't
the records that had the nation buzzing. Because that year this
seven-time NL MVP also smashed Mark McGwire's home run record by
hitting 73 roundtrippers. Homerun #73 was hit off of the LA Dodgers'
knuckleballer Dennis Springer on October 7th at Pac Bell Park (this
September 16th game was rescheduled after 9/11). A record that won't
be broken anytime soon (if ever!), this Sports
Gallery Exclusive display includes an official MLB baseball
hand-signed by Barry, the official unsigned photograph of that famous
at-bat, a replica ticket from the game, and commemorative plaque.
Quality framed in mahagony and UV-protective glass (very important
for signature protection!), this 14" w x 28" shadowbox
is a great great collectible from an unforgettable baseball moment
and player.

Rickey
Henderson new!
Stolen Base King |
| $579 |
Former
A's and Yankees OF Rickey Henderson is Major League Baseball's career
leader in runs (overtaking Ty Cobb in 2001), stolen bases and walks
(beating out the Babe in '01). Considered one of the greatest leadoff
hitters in baseball history, Rickey made his major league debut
with the Oakland A's in 1979. One of only a handful of ballplayers
to play in the majors in four different decades, Rickey played in
his 24th major league season in 2003. A 10-time All-Star, Gold Glove
winner in 1981, and the AL MVP in 1990, Rickey did it all in his
career, including playing in five post-seasons. He won World Series
rings with the A's and Blue Jays and made the playoffs with the
Padres, Mets and Mariners. But mostly, what Rickey did was steal
bases...ALOT of them. Rickey Henderson is the most prolific base
stealer in baseball history, with 1,406 over his career - 468 (almost
50%!) more than runner-up Lou Brock. It was on May 1, 1991, that
Henderson broke one of baseball's most famous records when he stole
the 939th base of his career, one more than Lou Brock. This Sports
Gallery Exclusive Shadowbox framing celebrates this memorable
baseball moment with a photo of Rickey's celebration, hand-signed
official MLB baseball, and commemorative plaque. All Sports
Gallery Quality Framed in thick black wood, UV-protective
glass, and classic A's suede matting. Nobody does Sports Framing,
and especially shadowbox framing, like Sports Gallery. A great gift

265 Strikeouts (2008) / 261 Strikeouts (2009) MLB

that pushed me

|
|
Tim
Lincecum new!
Back to Back Cy Young Awards |
| $429 |
San
Francisco Giants Pitcher Tim Lincecum attended the University of
Washington, where in 2004 he became the first player ever to be
named both the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and the Pac-10 Pitcher
of the Year. In 2006, he finished with a 1.94 ERA and 199 strikeout
on his way to winning the 2006 Golden Spikes Award, presented annually
to the best amateur baseball player. Tim was drafted 10th overall
by the Giants and made his major league debut on May 6, 2007 against
the Philadelphia Phillies. Tim earned a no-decision that game but
it was clear to everyone watching that nationally televised contest
that they were witnessing the debut of a special young pitcher.
Despite his small 5'11"/170 pound size, Lincecum's arm is as
strong as it gets as his fastball frequently tops out at 100 mph.
And in 2008, Tim showed just how special he is. On May 15, 2008,
after striking out 10 Houston Astros in 6 innings, Astros first
baseman Lance Berkman, no slouch at the plate, offered his view
of Lincecum: "He's got as good of
stuff as I've ever seen...he's got three almost unhittable pitches."
Tim went on to post a 18-5 Record, 2.62 ERA and a Major League leading
265 strikeouts, was a 2008 All-Star selection and was the winner
of the 2008 NL Cy Young Award. And in '09 Timmy kept it going being
named the National League Starting Pitcher in the 2009 All-Star
Game and again winning the NL Cy Young Award, becoming the 1st pitcher
in baseball history to win this prestigious award in his first full
two years in the League. Just a stud of a pitcher, Tim is just getting
started. Get his collectibles before they go up in value...a sure
bet given his talents from the rubber. This Sports
Gallery Exclusive is custom made by SGA and includes
a great action 8x10 of Tim, an autographed (on the sweet spot!)
MLB Baseball, and plaque commemorating Tim's 2008/09 Statistics
and Cy Young Awards. Nobody makes Shadowboxes as nice our ours.

Willie
Mays
The Catch
New York Polo Grounds
Sept 29, 1954
With
scored tied late in Game 1 of the 1954
World Series, Mays robs the Indians Vic Wertz with an
over the shoulder gem then whirls and throws a strike
to the infield. The Giants go on to the win the game and
the Series, the last Giants World Series Championship.
|
|
Willie
Mays
new!
The Catch |
| $529 |
They
called him the "Say Hey Kid"
when he was in his prime, but now many people regard him as probably
the best all around baseball player in the history of the game.
His staggering career statistics include 3,283 hits and 660 home
runs, 4th on the All-Time Career Home Run List. And over
50 years ago this Hall of Famer made "The
Catch. "
It came in New York's Polo Grounds in the first game of the 1954
World Series. With the score tied late in the game,
Indians first baseman Vic Wertz clubbed a long drive to deep centerfield
at the Polo Grounds. At the crack of the bat, Mays turned his back
to the plate, raced for the outfield wall, glanced up at the last
minute, and pulled the ball in over his shoulder. The play killed
the Indians' threat and the Giants went on to win the game and sweep
the Series, the last Giants' World Series victory.
This Sports
Gallery Exclusive shadowbox includes the classic photograph
of this remarkable catch and an official MLB baseball hand-signed
by Willie right on the sweet spot. Quality farmed in thick mahogany,
UV-protective glass (very important for signature protection!),
and classic double matting, this is a beautiful piece of
Sports Art. Nobody

Although
Willie McCovey played hurt throughout much of his glorious 22-year
career, the San Francisco Giants' first baseman used a sweeping
swing to belt 521 homers. McCovey's 18 grand slams rank third
to Lou Gehrig's 23 and Eddie Murray's 19. He led the National
League in homers three times and in RBI twice. "Stretch"
was named National League Rookie of the Year in 1959 and the League's
Most Valuable Player ten years later. One of the most popular
players to ever play for the Giants, McCovey was elected to the

Rarely
will you see fans wearing jerseys and t-shirts of a Minor League

in 2009, that's exactly what was happening at the Giants AT&T
Park. Yes, there were Lincecum and Sandoval jerseys. But, sprinkled
amongst the sea of Timmy and Panda, were Buster Posey San Jose Giants
gear. Why? Because Buster is an absolute stud and the SF Giants
bright future behind the plate. Buster was drafted #1 (and signed
to the largest upfront bonus in MLB history) by the Giants in the
2008 Major League Baseball Draft out of Florida St., where he not
only led the Seminole to the 2007 Championship but won about every
major college baseball award including The Johnny Bench Award, Dick
Howser Trophy, Gold Spikes Award, and the Collegiate Player of the
Year. And thus far he hasn't disappointed, tearing up both A (San

the future AND present, and absolutely justifying all the hype.

Ryan Limited Edition
"Don't Mess with Texas" |
| $339 |
|
On
August 4 1993, Hall of Famer pitcher Nolan Ryan's Rangers faced
off against Robin Ventura and the Chicago White Sox. During the
game, Ryan came up and in with a 96 mph fastball and hit Ventura.
In a heat-of-the-moment decision, an incensed Ventura dropped
his bat and charged the mound. In a scene captured by TV cameras
and replayed to millions, when Ventura reached the 46-year-old
Ryan (20 years his senior), baseball's all-time strikeout leader
put him in a headlock and started to pound him mercilessly, delivering
six consecutive uppercuts to Ventura's head. It was a spectacle
that would enhance Ryan's legend as one of the toughest pitchers
and fiercest competitors to have ever played the game.

Jonathan
Sanchez new!
"No-Hitter" |
| $329 |
|
As
many newspaper headlines exclaimed the next day...WOW!
It might be one of the most unlikeliest no-hitters this side of
Don Larsen's World Series Perfect Game. Smart money would have
bet on just about anyone other than left-hander Jonathan Sanchez
to throw the Giants' first no-hitter since John "The
Count" Montefusco did it in 1976. Tim Lincecum? Matt
Cain? Randy Johnson? Wrong. It was Sanchez, the pitcher who was
dropped unceremoniously
from the Club's starting rotation three weeks earlier and had
been considered the weak link on a team whose strength is starting
pitching. Sanchez struck out 11 and nearly had a perfect game
in the Giants' 8-0 victory against the Padres (Jonathan allowed
no walks; the only Padre to reach base did so on Juan Uribe's
error in the eighth). And the only reason Sanchez got the call
to pitch at all was because The Big Unit, Randy Johnson was put
on the disabled list the week before. "I
want to be a starter," the 26-year-old Sanchez stated
after the game. "They gave me
a second chance, you see what happened tonight." This
Sports

Pablo
Sandoval new!
"Kung Fu Panda"
SF Giants & SJ Giants
(from
exclusive sports gallery signing)
|
|
Pablo
Sandoval, born in Carabobo, Venezuela, is the latest Giants phenom
and there is NOTHING about Pablo that is ordinary. After all,
when was the last time a 22-year-old 5'11" 245-pound switch-hitting
catcher made the jump from A-ball to the middle of the batting
order for a major league team in one year? If you're leafing through
your Baseball Almanac, we'll save you the time. The answer is
never. The closest comparison you will find is 2008 NL MVP Albert
Pujols, who made a similar rapid rise in 2000. The 22-year old
Venezuelan was signed by San Francisco in 2002 at the age of 16.
And few young players have generated as much buzz. He has torn
up every league he's played including Single-A San Jose where
he hit .359 with 12 home runs while leading SJ to the California
League Championship. And he did the same when he got to The
Show, hitting .330 in 2009 (2nd in NL) and leading the
SF Giants with 25 home runs. Pablo has also proved very capable
at multiple defensive positions. Sandoval can play Catcher, 3B
and 1B extremely well and played all three in '09 for the Gigantes.
Nicknamed "Kung Fu Panda"
by teammate Barry Zito because of his resemblance to the movie
character, Pablo is fast becoming one of the most popular athletes
in the Bay Area. At Pablo's
recent SGA signing he signed a variety of collectibles
including several official MLB and SJ Giant commemorative baseballs.
Then we took over and Sports
Gallery Quality Framed many of those balls into one
of our deluxe shadowbox framings that includes the signed baseballs,
a unique action shot of Pablo at the plate (check out the bubble
he is blowing mid-swing!). The San Jose Giant shadowbox is part
of our Limited Edition "SGA Future
Stars Series." We use only the best materials in our
shadowbox framing including thick black wood, UV-protective glass,
and classic Giants double-matting. The best shadowbox on the market
today celebrating one of baseball's rising stars. Just a great
investment in a great player!
