The
crowd rises to their feet. The game is on the line. Everything
has led to this... That unforgettable moment in sports when
a special athlete does something equally as special.
Buries that amazing shot with the
game in the balance...
Sinks the long putt with the tournament
up for grabs...
Makes the seemingly unmakable catch
with the entire season on the line...
Put
simply, that moment when a great athlete is
Clutch!
The
Clutch Series was developed by Sports Gallery in June of 2008
to commemorate select players in sports that are at their best
at the most critical moments. Sports Icons that became icons
by simply coming through in the clutch...again and again.
Here's
how it works:
Each
numbered piece will be a limited edition item
and will only be available for a limited time.
Once the piece is either sold out or the window
of availability is closed, it will go into the
Sports Gallery Vault and will not be available
for three years.
When
one item is "retired" to the vault,
the next piece in the Series will be made available
with the same limited production and availability.
And
so on until the series is complete.
Series
I will consist of 10 pieces each lasting one month in duration.
The piece below:

How
many athletes can compare Championship "Last Shots?"
Michael can. Sports Gallery has selected two that we feel best
defines his greatness. And these two Last Shots bookend Michael's
championship basketball career beautifully, one capturing an
NCAA Championship during his college years and the other his
sixth, and final, NBA Championship.
Before
his amazing professional career with the Bulls, Michael Jordan
played his college ball at the University of North Carolina.
And on March 29, 1982 during the NCAA Championship Game vs.
Georgetown University, Jordan earned his first real taste of
fame by making the winning jump shot with 17 seconds remaining.
His clutch shot sealed a 63-62 Tar Heels victory and a national
title for Chapel Hill. This is really the "Last
Shot" that got it all started for Michael.
And
the "Last Shot"
that ended it all was his last in a Chicago Bulls' uniform.
On June 14, 1998, Michael's jumper from the top of the key defeated
the Utah Jazz 87-86, giving the Chicago Bull their sixth NBA
Title and 2nd three-peat. And basically made Michael a living
legend.
These two classic unsigned 8x10 photographs are Sports Gallery

in thick black wood UV-protective glass and classic double matting.
Just a timeless piece of Sports Art

of his biggest Clutch moments.

SGA Clutch Series I: 2 of 10
Nothing
commemorates Tiger Woods, his greatness, and his sheer determination
to win better than the 2008 United States Open Golf Championship.
The 108th U.S. Open, played from June 12 to June 16, 2008 at
Torrey Pines in San Diego, California was arguably the best,
and most entertaining, Open in history. In the end, Tiger Woods
cradled the silver U.S. Open trophy in his right hand and limped
toward the edge of the Pacific bluffs, each step as much a burden
as the 91 holes he played at Torrey Pines for his 14th, and
most memorable, Major Championship. Needing a birdie on the
18th hole to force an 18-hole play-off with Roco Mediate, a
visibly-pained Tiger Woods rose to the occasion and sunk a dramatic
12-foot putt. The next day Woods again needed to birdie on 18
to force a sudden death play-off and again delivered leading
to his remarkable victory. And two days later Tiger announced
that he would be undergoing season-ending arthroscopic knee
surgery.
Just
an amazing clutch
performance ... perhaps his most amazing ... by an amazing clutch
athlete. Tiger himself called the victory "probably
the best ever."
This
beautiful piece of Sports Art
not only commemorates this unforgettable athlete and moment
but also captures the spirit of determination and winning that
Tiger has come to represent. Sports Gallery Quality
