Fans Relive "The Catch" at Sports Gallery
 On
August 29th, 2004 49ers Great Dwight Clark made
a special in-store appearance at our Carmel,
California Store.
Pro-Bowl
wide receiver Dwight Clark was a member of two
49ers Super Bowl Teams and had his famous number
87 retired by the club. The most memorable of
his 48 touchdowns came in the 1982 NFC Playoffs
when he caught the winning touchdown from Joe
Montana in
the back of the endzone in the game's final minute.
Known simply as The Catch, it is perhaps
the most famous catch in 49ers history.
Signing
for two hours, Dwight was a great guest, chatting
with fans, graciously posing for pictures, and
signing their Dwight and 49er keepsakes. A very
special appearance for all who came to our Carmel
Store that day.
Congratulations
to Robert Howard of San Jose, CA who won
our raffle for an Authentic NFL Football signed
by Dwight at our Event. Robert's winning ticket
was chosen by Dwight himself during his appearance
(see picture below).
