Great (& 4-Time Super Bowl Champ) Eric Wright Helps Celebrate SGA Palo Alto's
Grand Re-Opening On
September 8th, 2007 49ers Great Eric Wright made a special in-store appearance
at our Palo
Alto, California Store,
helping us celebrate the store's Grand Re-Opening. Closed since a massive fire
in the neighboring building on the evening of July 1st, our Palo Alto Store was
finally ready to re-open after months of repairs due to flooding and water damage.
And Eric was there to help us celebrate. Signing
for almost two hours, Eric was a great guest, chatting with fans, graciously posing
for pictures, and signing their 49er keepsakes. And Eric is a significant part
of Niners history. An all-Big Eight defensive back in 1979 and '80, he was a first-team
choice on Missouri's all-century team in 1990. A member of the Missouri Football
Hall of Fame, Wright was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 1981. Drafted by
Bill Walsh and playing in a defensive backfield that included HOF'er Ronnie Lott,
Eric is one of just five players who played on all four of San Francisco's Super
Bowl championship teams during the decade of the 1980s.

Thanks
to Eric for a great appearance. And most of all thanks to all the fans that made
our Grand Re-Opening such a fun party! |
