Villalona
began his third professional
season in 2009 rated as the #3 prospect in the
San Francisco Giants Organization by Baseball
America. The San Jose Giants 1B, a native of La
Romana, Dominican Republic, is also considered
the "best power hitter" in the Giants
farm system and garnered the #48 rating in MiLB.com's
Top 50 prospects after the 2008 season. Angel
originally signed with San Francisco Giants in
August, 2006 for a then-club-record $2.1 Million
bonus as a 16-year old. And Angel has done nothing
to disappoint the Giants organization to date.
