OF/DH
Dante Bichette has played on a number of teams in his lengthy major
league career. His best years, however, came with the Colorado Rockies
where he was one of the premier sluggers in the league for a number
of years. In fact, Dante hit the first home in Rockies' franchise
history in 1992 at Shea Stadium off of the Met's Bret Saberhagen.
In 1995, Bichette topped the NL in RBI's (128) and finished third
in the league with a .340 batting average. To the disappointment
of Rockies fans, Bichette fell just short of Cincinnati's Barry
Larkin in the MVP voting. Problems with an ailing left knee slowed
Bichette in 1996, but he still was a force to be reckoned with at
the plate, socking 31 homers with a .316 average and 141 RBI. In
1999 Bichette slugged 34 homers and drove in 133 runs with a .298
batting average. Unbelievably, it marked the first time in his Rockies
career he'd hit below .300!

Barry
Bonds
New "Homerun King"
73rd HR - October 7,2001
So
reads the plaque on this very cool Bonds collectible. In
2001, Bonds broke two of Babe Ruth's long-standing records - most
walks and highest slugging percentage in a season. But those weren't
the records that had the nation buzzing. Because that year he
also smashed Mark McGwire's home run record by hitting 73 roundtrippers.
Homerun #73 was hit off of the LA Dodgers' knuckleballer Dennis
Springer on October 7th at Pac Bell Park. This unsigned 11x14
photo display, framed in black wood and Giants-colored matting,
captures that historic baseball moment...and Bonds' classic swing.

Gil
Heredia Baseball |
$89.95
Now
$44.97! |
A
journeyman pitcher for most of his career, Heredia blossomed into
a reliable starter when he posted 13 wins for the Oakland A's in
1999. His breakthrough season was aided by a June tutoring session
with A's great Catfish Hunter who told Heredia to simply throw strikes
and have fun. Although he turned 34 that October, Heredia set a
new personal best in 2000 with 15 victories, eleven on the road
and was an integral part of the A's AL West Championship season.
Because his fastball topped out in the 80 MPH range, Heredia never
overpowered batters. Instead, he relied on a wide variety of pitches
to keep them off balance, prompting teammates to dub him "Doctor
Gil". This Arizona alum also pitched for the Montreal Expos,
San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers, and Chicago White Sox.

A's" (unsigned) |
|
$99.95
|
|
Reggie
Jackson earned the nickname "Mr. October" for his World
Series heroics with both the Oakland Athletics and the New York
Yankees. He won three consecutive World Series titles as a member
of the A's in the early 1970's and also won 2 consecutive titles
with the New York Yankees later in his career. In 27 Fall Classic
games, he amassed 10 home runs (including four in consecutive
at-bats), 24 RBI's and a .357 batting average. As one of the game's
premier power hitters, he blasted 563 career round-trippers, just
above Mickey Mantle and Mike Schmidt on Major League Baseball's
All-Time Home Run List. A terrific player in the clutch and an
intimidating clean-up hitter, Jackson compiled a lifetime slugging
percentage of .490 and earned American League MVP honors in 1973
while leading the A's to another Championship. Nobody did the
Fall Classic like Reggie, who was elected to the Baseball Hall
of Fame in 1993. This

Jim
Leyritz Baseball |
| $99.95 |
|
It
appears as if Jim Leyritz will go down in baseball history as
the ultimate Mr. October, remembered mainly for his post-season
heroics with recent Yankees teams and with the 1998 Padres. In
1998, Jim's 7th inning homer gave the Padres a 21 win over
the Astros a 21 lead in games in the NLCS. He hit yet another
dinger in Game 4 of that series to give the Padres the National
League Championship. With the Yankees in 1999, Jim hit a crucial
homer in the 8th against the Braves to boost the Yanks to the
1999 World Championship. Move over Reggie,

Willie
Mays new!
The Catch 8x10 (unsigned) |
| $99.95 |
Over
50 years ago, Hall of Famer Willie Mays made "The
Catch." It
came in New York's Polo Grounds, in the first game of the 1954 World
Series. With the score tied late in the game, Indians
first baseman Vic Wertz clubbed a long drive to deep centerfield
at the Polo Grounds. At the crack of the bat, Mays turned his back
to the plate, raced for the outfield wall, glanced up at the last
minute, and pulled the ball in over his shoulder. Nearly 430 feet
from the plate, he whirled and threw on a line to the infield. The
play killed the Indians' threat, and the Giants went on to win the
game and sweep the Series, the last Giants' World Series victory.
The photograph of this timeless play is one of the most famous in
baseball history. This unsigned 8x10 b&w photograph of this
remarkable catch is Quality
Framed in thick black wood,
UV-protective glass and classic charcoal double matting. A classy
collectible of a special moment in baseball history and a great
gift for any sports fan.

entire career without allowing a grand slam. Intensity was the trademark
of this three-time Cy Young Award winner, who combined intelligence,
strength, competitiveness and consistency to become the Orioles'
all-time winningest pitcher. A six-time All-Star, Jim was elected

Joe
Rudi
1972 World Series Catch (signed) |
| $99.95
|
|
Joe Rudi was an underrated superstar for the mighty Oakland A's
of the early 1970's. Oakland won three consecutive World Series
(1972-74) with a lineup that featured Reggie Jackson, Sal Bando,
and pitchers Catfish Hunter, Vida Blue, and Rollie Fingers. But
nobody was more important to the A's overall success than Rudi.
He was an excellent defensive player, a smart hitter, and a good
baserunner. His arm was strong and accurate, and he was outstanding
in the clutch. In Game Two of the 1972 World Series versus Cincinnati,
Rudi homered, then saved the 2-1 win with a spectacular ninth-inning
catch that A's fan still talk about. And in Game Seven against
the Dodgers in 1974, his seventh-inning homer broke a 2-2 tie,
and Oakland held on to win 3-2. A three-time All-Star and Gold
Glove Award winner, Rudi hand-signed this awesome photo of his
famous, game-saving '72 Word Series catch with the special inscription
"Gold Glove 74-75-76."
Sports Gallery Quality-Framed

Rick
Barry new!
San Francisco Warriors
(unsigned)
|
| $89.95
|
|
Richard
Francis Dennis Barry III graduated from Roselle Park (N.J.) High
School, before going on to graduate from the University of Miami.
Drafted by the San Francisco Warriors in 1965, Rick signed with
Oakland of ABA two years later. After also playing for the NY
Nets in the ABA, Barry finally returned to the Warriors in 1972.
His greatest season of professional basketball was undoubtedly
1975, when Barry led an otherwise ordinary Golden State club to
the NBA Championship, captaining the team and averaging 30.6 points,
second in the league. In a professional basketball career that
spanned from 1965 to 1980, Rick's name appears near the top of
every offensive category. Barry scored more than 25,000 points
and in four different seasons averaged more than 30 points. He
was named to 12 All-Star teams, four All-NBA First Teams, and
five All-ABA First Teams. Named one of the 50 Greatest Players
in history by the NBA in 1996, Barry is the only player to lead
the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), ABA and NBA
in scoring for an individual season. Put simply, Barry was a nearly
unstoppable offensive juggernaut and, more importantly, a passionate
competitor with an untempered desire to win. Get this unique vintage
u/s photograph of Rick Barry in his early Warrior days. Sports

Framed in thick black wood, UV-protective glass, and

At

for his awe-inspiring flights to the hoop, M.J. took it to a whole
new level during this jam fest. The date was Feb. 6, 1988. It was
M.J. vs. The Human Highlight Film. Two of the game's greatest dunkers,
Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins, treated fans with jams packed
with creativity and athleticism in the final round of the 1988 NBA
Slam Dunk Championship. Michael Jordan won the title on the strength
of a final dunk that still amazes basketball fans. Needing a perfect
score of 50, Jordan duly impressed the judges and fans in Chicago
Stadium as well as people watching on television with a spectacular
dunk that began with a jump from the free-throw line. Every year
since when the NBA holds its annual All-Star Weekend festivities,

Muhammad
Ali and Elvis Presley had a special friendship based on a strong
mutual admiration. In fact, a famous Ali quote makes reference
to Elvis:
People
don't realize what they had till it's gone.
Like President Kennedy - nobody like him.
Like The Beatles,
there will never be anything like them.
Like my man, Elvis Presley -
I was the Elvis of boxing.
In February of 1973, Ali and Elvis met in Las Vegas. During the
visit, Elvis gave Ali a robe emblazoned with the words "The
People's Champion." In turn, Ali gave Elvis boxing
gloves inscribed "You're the Greatest"
on the right glove. And, of course, they posed for photographs.
This is one of the more famous of these photos, showing "The

Muhammad
Ali new!
Underwater
Training 8x10 Display
(Unsigned) |
| $99.95 |
|
Muhammad
Ali might well be the most-photographed person of all time (he
has been on 35 Sports Illustrated covers alone!). Among the best
photographs ever taken of him are a series of underwater shots
in a swimming pool from 1961. The enterprising young fighter told
Life photographer Flip Schulke
that he trained for fights by running and punching in the pool.
Only one problem: It was all a big, fat fib. Ali never trained
underwater - at that point he couldn't even swim. However, what
he lacked in aquatic skill he made up for in media savvy, and
he was desperate to get into the hugely popular Life,
knowing it would give him worldwide exposure. Ali and his trainer
Angelo Dundee cooked up the idea of the fighter training underwater
and the editors of Life fell
for it. But while the story was a lie the photos are very real.
Life featured two pages of photographs documenting Ali's supposed
underwater regime. In the photos, the young fighter ducked and
feinted, the bubbles in the swimming pool following the arc of
his arm. This Sports
Gallery Exclusive display includes an 8x10 photograph
from that shoot as well as a commemorative plaque highlighting
Ali's accomplishments as a boxer. A unique collectible from one
of the most-unique athletes...and personalities...of our time.
