| On
Friday evening, February 20th, 2008, Golden State Warriors Star, Jamal
Crawford, made a special in-store signing appearance out our Walnut
Creek , CA Gallery.
Jamal
Crawford attended Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, where his number 23 is
retired. After high school, Crawford attended the University of Michigan before
being drafted in the 2000 NBA Draft after his freshman year. Jamal started his
NBA career with the Chicago Bulls before joining the New York Knicks prior to
the 2004-05 season. In NY, he started alongside Stephon Marbury at shooting guard,
averaging almost 20 points a game while in the Big Apple. On November 21, 2008,
Jamal was traded to the Warriors for forward-center Al Harrington, seemingly a
match made in heaven as Crawford is considered by most experts to be a "tweener,"
which plays well in the Warriors/Don Nelson "run and gun" style of play.
And on December 20, Crawford showed just how good a match he is for his new team
by scoring 50 points vs. the Charlotte Bobcats in a 110-103 Golden State victory.
In so doing, Jamal became just the fourth player in NBA history to score 50 points
with 3 different teams (Bulls, Knicks & Warriors). A star in the making (especially
playing alongside Monta Ellis), Jamal is expected to do big things on the Warriors. |
